This Acadia National Park wedding started in a stunning Airbnb tucked away in Northeast Harbor, continued with a cliffside ceremony at Otter Point, and ended with a sunset cruise around the island aboard the Eden. Every part of the day felt deeply personal, a blend of adventure and ease that fits this couple perfectly.

Getting Ready in the Dreamiest Northeast Harbor Airbnb

We started the morning at the Airbnb in Northeast Harbor, and when I say this place was massive, I mean massive. Every room had character, with old coastal charm and just enough quirkiness to make it feel one-of-a-kind. Natural light poured through big windows overlooking the trees, and there was an infectious calm in the air as everyone got ready.

The couple’s closest friends and family filled the house with laughter, music, and the scent of fresh coffee. I bounced between rooms photographing the little moments that make wedding mornings my favorite, the bride’s mom carefully zipping her dress, the groom’s best man nervously fixing his tie for the tenth time, and the dogs curled up in a patch of sunlight watching everything unfold.

There’s something so magical about ending a wedding day on the water. The salty air, the soft hum of the boat, and that golden-hour light reflecting off the ocean, it’s perfection. As the Eden pulled away from the dock, champagne glasses clinked, and laughter filled the air.

We cruised around the island, watching the sky turn from pale pink to deep orange to dusky blue. The couple shared a slow dance on the deck while the waves gently rocked beneath them. It felt like a scene from a movie, the perfect blend of adventure and romance that defines Maine’s coastline.

Dinner at Testa’s

After the cruise docked, everyone made one final stop at Testa’s in Bar Harbor for dinner. The restaurant’s warm glow, cozy atmosphere, and the sound of clinking silverware were the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

There was no rush, just laughter, storytelling, and genuine connection. It was a celebration that didn’t need to be extravagant to be extraordinary.
