Sites Farm Wedding

Some wedding days just have that quiet kind of magic, where the setting, the people, and the little moments all come together in the most heartfelt way. That’s exactly how it felt photographing this beautiful wedding at Sites Farm in Athens, Maine.

The ceremony took place inside the barn, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. With its weathered wood beams, soft natural light, and cozy atmosphere, the space created an intimate setting that felt both rustic and refined. It was the kind of venue that instantly makes everyone feel at ease, especially important when emotions are running high and big moments are unfolding.

Every detail of this wedding was thoughtfully styled, from the wildflower-inspired florals to the vintage table decor and soft, earthy tones that echoed the natural surroundings. It was clear how much heart went into every decision, and it showed in the way the whole day felt effortlessly beautiful and deeply personal.

One of my favorite parts of Sites Farm is the view out back. Just behind the barn, a peaceful pond stretches out with rolling hills and forest in the distance. It’s a photographer’s dream. We took advantage of that golden-hour light for portraits by the water, and to top it all off, yes, the cows made an appearance! A few curious bovines wandered into frame, playfully photobombing some of the couple’s portraits. It added such a fun, unexpected touch and perfectly captured the charm of a farm wedding.

Sites Farm is such a hidden gem for Maine weddings. It offers that laid-back, country feel without sacrificing style or scenery. I’m so grateful to have been part of this day, it was one of those weddings that remind me why I love what I do.
